OUR PROGRAMS
STARTUP DJIBOUTI is an ambitious initiative with its incubation (IGNITE) and acceleration (BUILD) support programs promoted by the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Center in partnership with HSEVEN, under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Innovation.
Targeted at idea-bearing entrepreneurs or founders of innovative startups, STARTUP DJIBOUTI emerges as a Djiboutian movement for innovative technological startups and benefits from prominent governmental support.
STARTUP DJIBOUTI is tasked with the mission of fostering the creation and development of the startup ecosystem in Djibouti for Djiboutians, Africans, and all lovers of Africa.
The goal is clear: to transform creativity into high-impact startups and support exceptional entrepreneurs in the development of their projects.
An unprecedented financing offer in Djibouti.
STARTUP DJIBOUTI will provide selected entrepreneurs with access to an unprecedented financing offer in the Djiboutian market: a $20,000 grant and a convertible loan capped at $100,000. The programs will also benefit from support from the CLE, the founder of the STARTUP DJIBOUTI movement.
These funds will enable these entrepreneurs to embark on the development of their projects by focusing on their medium and long-term ambitions, rather than their short-term constraints.
The selected entrepreneurs will benefit from strategic advice, expertise, and access to networks through CLE and HSEVEN partners.
To be part of the first cohort, 40 projects will be pre-selected to participate in a 3-day Bootcamp, which will give rise to the first Ignite program composed of 15 future startups.
For the Build acceleration program, 25 projects will be pre-selected and will also participate in a 3-day Bootcamp. Finally, 8 startups will be selected to join the Build program.
CLE and HSEVEN will also provide entrepreneurs with access to their network of over 350 mentors, influential leaders, and their partners to facilitate access to markets with Djiboutian and international companies, as well as to more funding through venture capital firms interested in future accelerated startups.
